Design to Sample: Turning a Footwear Idea into a Physical Reference

In-house design and development connect a footwear idea with a sample that can be reviewed for appearance, fit and construction.

Start with intent

Describe who will wear the shoe and where. Include a sketch, catalogue reference or AI-generated concept, then explain the features that matter most.

Review feasibility

Discuss the last, upper panels, material behaviour, sole and attachment method. Additional angles or dimensions may be needed to resolve an ambiguous reference.

Refine the sample

Review fit, comfort, finish and construction before approving the production reference. Sampling fees and schedules are established with the selected brief.
